This video masterclass was filmed in Hawaii and led by an experienced endurance athlete. The course, focusing on breathing and mindfulness, aimed to improve mental health and work-life balance. It featured talking-head style videos, crafted from hours of raw audio and footage from two camera angles, organized around key topics. The project involved graphic and sound design, multicam editing, color grading, and audio enhancement.
Main Typographic Title Studies
We began post-production with a main title card, designed to anchor the animated intro. The typography was first developed in black and white to focus on composition and form. We explored three distinct directions—drawing on themes of tropical landscapes, the outdoors, and mindfulness.
The client chose the second design but we decided to incorporate elements from all three, adding a tropical color scheme and lens flare effects.
Bringing the Logo to Life
We brought the client’s static logo to life with animation that reflected his passion for water sports and mountain climbing. The wave and climber elements were animated with subtle, continuous motion, adding energy without overwhelming the design. Sound design completed the sequence—layering a crashing wave, the taut pull of a rope, and distant ocean birds to create a vivid, immersive intro.
Opening Sequence, Final Form
This is the finalized video intro. We designed custom motion graphics for the title, incorporating forward slashes from the original branding. Client-provided footage from Hawaii was color-graded and speed-ramped to anchor the sequence visually. To complete the tone, we sourced and edited a music track that matched the course’s energy. Together, these elements form a sharp, engaging intro that sets the stage for the series.
Tropical Color Grading
The videos were originally shot in LOG format, which allowed us the flexibility to fully customize the color grading. Aiming to complement the vibrant tropical setting, we opted for a bright and appealing color palette.

Post-Production Refinement
We approached the edit with a focus on clarity and structure, organizing the content into discrete clips centered on key topics. Two camera angles and punch-in shots added visual rhythm and helped smooth transitions throughout. Equally important was the audio work—editing and mastering the raw recordings to ensure consistency, reduce ambient noise, and deliver a clean, even listening experience.
Branded Trailer for Course Promotion
The client wanted a trailer to promote the course and draw in prospective students. We curated key moments from the series and paired them with client-supplied b-roll, supplementing with stock footage to round out the visuals. Branded text cards and motion graphics—drawn from the video intro—helped tie everything together, resulting in a cohesive, compelling preview of the course.
