This project was for Daas Good, a B2B “design-as-a-service” creative agency. They had hosted a standout series of website redesign webinars—each featuring a skilled web designer narrating his process in real time as he transformed a client’s site from start to finish.
Our task was to distill one of these sessions into a fast-paced highlight reel, complete with a sharp opening sequence, animated logo sting, music, lower thirds, and clear calls to action. The goal: to turn a deep-dive webinar into an engaging, high-energy lead magnet for their website.
Nailing the Design
Daas Good’s branding is sharp, cohesive, and full of energy—and their website reflects that same kinetic spirit. Our task was simple in theory: carry that sensibility into the video assets.
The first step was finding the right soundtrack—something modern, upbeat, and with enough rhythmic nuance to drive the pacing. We landed on a synth-heavy track with plenty of character, then built the storyboard around it, mapping every transition to a beat or measure. The result was a design process as quick-thinking and dynamic as the brand itself. And yes—this one started the old-fashioned way: pencil and paper, front and center.
Animating the Brand
For the logo sting, we paired a filter sweep in the music with the reveal of Daas Good’s two-letter mark, which then morphed seamlessly into the full-color logo.
The title card was firmly rooted in the brand’s existing visual identity. We pulled background imagery directly from the website, and for the word “redesign” layered a looping texture of stills from actual client projects—turning past work into a subtle, moving showcase of the brand’s capabilities.
Fast-Forwarding the Process
In the main body of the video, pacing was everything. We had to choose which sections to show in real time and which to accelerate—compressing a four-hour webinar into a seven-minute highlight reel without losing the flow of the design story.
To match that momentum, we layered in complementary background tracks that kept the sped-up sequences feeling fluid, intentional, and connected to the brand’s energy.
Reformatting for Reach
As an added bonus, we saw an opportunity to extend the video’s reach beyond its original format. The challenge: reimagining a seven-minute widescreen edit as a three-minute, vertical-aspect reel for social platforms.
We resized the intro, tightened the pacing, and took a more aggressive approach to editing the webinar content—turning it into a fast, mobile-friendly piece designed to grab attention in a feed.
